I was watching a comedian on YouTube explain, when meeting someone, we should tell them what we don’t like as it reveals more.
How often have you heard people say they like bushwalking, eating out, dogs, movies and laughing. Most people would list those things, but do they tell us anything about the person?
I don’t like being cold, eating runny poached eggs, people who make fun of others, people who never stop talking, and people who judge others.
I am interested, when meeting someone for the first time, do you want to know what they like, or what they don’t like or both?
I have read that revealing too many of our insecurities, our vulnerabilities, and previous mistakes may be a bit too much too soon.
I would have rather heard the truth than finding out 6 months into a relationship someone had neglected to say they were an alcoholic, controlling, lazy and very jealous!
So, what do you like, what don’t you like, what do you want to hear from others?
