Please help...

January can be a challenging month. We’re sure you will have heard of ‘Blue Monday’ in the UK, supposedly the most depressing day of the year. Although it isn’t real - it was a travel company’s marketing idea to sell more holidays, many people do find their mood dips more noticeably in January due to darker days, post-holiday lows, and resolutions that don’t always go to plan. Research also suggests feelings of low mood tend to peak in January.

(And to our members in the Southern Hemisphere - we hope you’re enjoying the sunshine. Please send some our way!)

With that in mind, we’d like to use January as an opportunity to spread the word about Moodscope and support anyone who may be feeling low. Knowing how much you care for and encourage one another, we think you’re perfectly placed to help us create a Blue Monday Toolkit to accompany a press release we’ll be sending out. The aim is simple: to share real, practical ideas for lifting spirits at this difficult time.

Please share below anything that helps you get through this more difficult than average time, anything that might keep you on an even keel or even lift your mood.  We know some of you have ‘tool kits’ that you rely on during the winter months. We’d love to hear any advice you may have for others. Either share below or send us an email: support@moodscope.com

Your ideas may offer someone else a small but meaningful way to get through the ‘January blues.’

And on another subject, again, please help us …

Also, later in the year, we hope to release information on how Moodscope has helped with identifying bipolar disorder and monitor the effectiveness of medication.

We know of a few Moodscopers who have identified their bipolar disorder through their use of Moodscope and we’d like to look in to this further.

If you’ve ever used your Moodscope scores with a doctor or psychiatrist to support a diagnosis - or if you suspect you may have bipolar based on your Moodscope results and are yet to be diagnosed — we’d love to hear from you. We’d also like to know if you’ve used your scores to monitor medication.  We believe Moodscope may be able to help speed up diagnosis and support clinical conversations. Your experiences could contribute to invaluable research. Please let us know by email if you would like to contribute: support@moodscope.com

Finally, we’d like to say thank you…

We want to wish all our members a happy and peaceful festive season and would like to thank you all for your contributions and support throughout 2025, especially those that have written the daily blog posts that have helped so many.

Here’s hoping 2026 is a good year for you all.

Thanks once again.
