Knowledge is power…

I’ve long believed in being open about issues involving mental and physical health. ‘Knowledge is power’ encapsulates my philosophy - except sometimes we get a snippet of news about someone and it can lead to horrible misunderstandings. Recently I’ve had an awful series of communications from someone I considered a good friend. I’ve tried to explain myself as we’ve both been poorly at the same time. My friend has been having treatment for an aggressive cancer and I’ve been dealing with a gruesomely smashed up leg - but everything I say seems to make matters worse so I’ve no choice but to withdraw from contact. This saddens and frustrates me but in the face of her lived experience, I’m powerless to change her mind.

In these situations I find Moodscope really helpful. By monitoring my moods I could see a dip in my scores in the days following our communication. A week on, and I’m beginning to bounce back.

How long have you been using Moodscope? I’ve taken nearly 500 tests over 15 years! Has it helped you deal with adversity and times of transition? I’m curious to hear.
