I like finding words that I have not heard of before. Adoxography is skilled writing on a trivial or unimportant subject. I don’t think my writing is skilled, but I often write on trivial or fun topics, but whether they are unimportant depends on the reader. Sometimes our personal and wider world is full of so much seriousness that a bit of trivia or fun or getting to know each other is useful.
Those who read my blogs know I tend to vacillate and swither, a word that many will know means to hesitate or put off deciding. So here I am slightly discombobulated and indecisive, trying to write my blog.
Would you like to share words you have recently discovered or really like the way they sound or what they mean?
As I am indecisive, I will give you a choice of topics.
Can you complete this sentence: Have you ever tried …?
If you want to complete the question then answer it - can be anything, fun, academic, something you tried that you would recommend to others etc.
Have you ever tried wearing pyjamas to the supermarket?
I have. There was a supermarket near to where I lived where after 9pm and before 9 am customers wore pyjamas. No one was self-conscious and everyone smiled and chatted.
I welcome learning new words and finding out what people have tried.
